The Alpaca to Apparel idea began in 2008 with the purchase of three huacaya alpacas. Since then, our herd has gown and so has our world class collection of alpaca clothing.
Alpaca to Apparel LLC was founded and is owned by Benjamin Kornowski, a 2018 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Ben began raising alpacas with his family in 2008. In 2010, Ben and his Grandma purchased two females for breeding. Through high school and college, Ben and the rest of his family, opened a store on the family farm and attended weekly farmers markets. In 2016, during Ben's junior year of college, he, him Mom (Kelly), and Grandma Paula visited Peru for the first time. Following this first trip, Ben opened his first stand alone store in Fish Creek, WI. In 2019, the store moved around the corner, to its present location in Founders Square, in a stunning 2,000 square foot flagship store in the heart of Door County.
